- Does Kuivurivahti fit an old dryer?
- Yes. Kuivurivahti fits both old and new grain dryers. The dryer in the photo gallery has been in use for decades and received remote monitoring without any structural retrofit.
- What does Kuivurivahti measure?
- The temperature and humidity of the exhaust air. Outdoor air and the air entering the dryer are measured as well. The sensor is suspended inside the exhaust pipe, where it measures the air leaving the dryer.
- Does the dryer need an internet connection?
- Not a separate one. The base station ships with a SIM card and sends the sensor readings to the cloud service.
- Can I install Kuivurivahti myself?
- Yes. It installs with basic tools, clear written instructions are included, and the sensors, transmitter and base station are pre-configured. The photo gallery walks through the installation step by step in a real dryer.
- What does €799 include and what is the running cost?
- The price of €799 (VAT 0 %) covers the hardware, the installation instructions and the first year of cloud service. After that the cloud service is €99/year (VAT 0 %). The parts included in the package are listed in the pricing section.
- Does Kuivurivahti replace the dryer’s own controls?
- No. Kuivurivahti does not replace the dryer’s original control panel — it monitors temperatures independently alongside it.
